The only option to cancel (change the status to "Cancelled") an invoice is to edit a credit slip for it.

We would like the ability to select a status "Nope, won't be paid" as an alternative to Sent / Paid / Cancelled by credit slip.

2023 and this is still something needed. This is the top 2 requested feature 😄 I have a few invoices from 2019-2020 that will never be paid, and I can't bring myself to mark them as cancelled, because I wouldn't be able to find them easily if needed. I couldn't distinguish those invoices from any other cancelled invoice.
